The journey can be so hard but there, at the end, that spurt of light and beauty. It makes it all worthwhile. Excellent tanka and so very Zen...traditional....just really like this.
The blooming crocus is one of those details I really appreciate in works of literature. It acts as a nod to the reader. Please, come closer, this poem is for you. :-)
